Community Guidelines

Lovia is a place to meet people. It only works if it feels safe. These Guidelines explain what's welcome here and what isn't. They apply everywhere on Lovia — profiles, Swipe, Nearby, Chat, Moments, voice and video calls, and LIVE.

Breaking them can cost you your content, your features, your Coins, your Earnings, or your account. Serious breaches are reported to the police.

These Guidelines form part of our Terms of Service.

1. Be real

Do: use recent photos of yourself, your real age, and honest information about who you are.

Don't: - Use someone else's photos, name, or identity - Pretend to be a celebrity, a brand, or a person you're not - Run multiple accounts, fake accounts, or bots - Lie about your age — in either direction

If we can't tell whether an account is real, we may ask for verification.

2. You must be 18 or over

Lovia is strictly for adults.

Zero tolerance, no exceptions: - No one under 18 may use Lovia - Nothing sexual involving anyone under 18 — no images, no text, no roleplay, no "she looks young" content - No grooming, no contacting minors, no soliciting minors - No photos of children as your profile picture

We report child sexual exploitation to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and other authorities, and we preserve the evidence. This is not appealable.

If you think someone on Lovia is under 18, report them immediately. See our Child Safety Policy.

3. Treat people like people

Don't: - Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate anyone - Send abusive messages, or keep messaging or calling someone who isn't responding - Insult people for their race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, disability, or appearance - Post hate speech, or content that attacks or demeans a group - Share anyone's private information — address, workplace, phone number, ID — without their permission - Encourage anyone to harm themselves

Rejection is part of dating. Handle it without retaliation.

4. Keep it clean

Lovia is not an adult platform.

Don't: - Post nudity, sexual acts, or sexually explicit content anywhere — including profile photos, Moments, and LIVE - Send unsolicited sexual images or messages - Share intimate images of anyone without their consent, ever - Broadcast sexual content on LIVE, or use suggestive framing to get around the rule - Screenshot or record another user's photos, messages, calls, or streams without their consent

Recording someone without consent may be a criminal offence in Malaysia. We ban for it.

5. No selling, no soliciting

Don't: - Offer, request, or arrange sexual services or escorting - Exchange Gifts, Coins, or money for sexual content, sexual acts, or meetings - Advertise a business, promote MLM, recruit, or spam - Direct people off Lovia to paid content platforms - Ask other users for money, loans, or top-ups

6. No scams

Romance scams are the most common serious harm on dating apps. Protect yourself and don't be the problem.

Don't: - Ask users to invest in crypto, forex, gold, or any scheme - Claim an emergency, illness, or stranded situation to get money - Ask anyone to receive or forward funds on your behalf - Send phishing links or fake giveaways - Use stolen cards or unauthorised payment methods

And for your own safety: never send money to someone you haven't met. Not once. Not a small amount. Report them instead.

7. LIVE has extra rules

Live streaming is public. Assume everything is being recorded.

Don't broadcast: - Nudity, sexual content, or suggestive posing - Anyone under 18, including in the background - Violence, weapons, dangerous stunts, or self-harm - Drugs, alcohol abuse, or regulated goods - Music, film, or TV you don't have the rights to - Gambling or contests for money - Anything while driving

We may cut a stream at any time. Streams and their chat may be recorded and reviewed for safety.

8. Play fair with Coins and Gifts

Don't: - Send Gifts to yourself or accounts you control - Coordinate with others to cycle Gifts and generate Earnings - Use bots or scripts to inflate views, gifts, or engagement - Buy Coins with a card that isn't yours - Use Coins or Gifts to move money between people

We reverse the transaction, freeze the Earnings, and ban the accounts.

9. Don't break the app

Don't: - Reverse engineer, tamper with, or modify the app - Use modded or unofficial clients - Scrape profiles or collect user data - Get around bans, paywalls, tier limits, ads, or moderation - Overload or attack our systems

10. Meeting in person

If you meet someone from Lovia:

• Meet in public the first time — a café, a mall, somewhere with people
• Tell someone where you're going and who with
• Arrange your own transport there and back
• Stay in control of your drink and your phone
• Never send money, even if you've been talking for months
• Leave if it feels wrong. You don't owe anyone an explanation

Lovia doesn't run background checks on users and can't vouch for anyone. Trust your gut.

11. Reporting

Every profile, chat, Moment, and live stream has a Report option. You can also block any user, which stops all contact immediately.

Reports are confidential — the person you report is not told who reported them. We prioritise reports involving child safety, credible threats, and non-consensual intimate images, and aim to acknowledge every report within 24 hours.

Please don't file false reports to punish someone. That's a violation on its own.

12. What happens when you break the rules

Depending on what happened and your history, we may:

13. Appeals

If you think we got it wrong, email officiallovia1@gmail.com within 14 days with your account email and the reference number from the notice you received.

Someone who wasn't involved in the original decision will review it. We aim to reply within 14 days.

Child safety decisions are final and are not appealable.

14. These Guidelines will change

Lovia is growing and new problems will appear. We'll update these Guidelines as they do, and we'll tell you in the app when something important changes.
